From the Telegraph and Times of 28 Feb 2020: Mr J.W. Cubitt and Miss E.R. Milligan-Manby - The engagement is announced between James, elder son of Major General Sir William and Lady Cubitt, of Honing, Norfolk, and Eleanor, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs James Milligan-Manby, of Thorganby, Lincolnshire.

James William (b 1991) s of Maj-Gen Sir William George CUBITT KCVO CBE DL (b 1959), scion of the gentry family of that name of Honing Hall and of the CAPRON gentry family of Southwick Hall, and of the PELLY & BUXTON Bts, POLWARTH lords etc etc, and Lucy Jane (b 1961) d of Martin Hugh PYM (b 1927), scion of the gentry family of that name of Hazell Hall (and relation of the LP Baron PYM) and Phillada Hilary NUNNELEY (b c 1940).

Eleanor Rose (b 1990 reg Q4 Humberside) d of James Charles Stewart Reynolds MILLIGAN-MANBY (b May 1958, reg Q1 London), s of (Robert Alexander) Stewart MILLIGAN-MANBY (1919-64) whom he succ as head of the gentry family of that name of Thorganby Hall and his 1st w Jeanne REES-REYNOLDS (c1933-2018), by his 1987 m (reg Q2 Humberside) to Emma J O WALKER (b 1962 reg Q2 Yorkshire). Mr & Mrs James Milligan-Manby also have two sons, ARCHIE STEWART (b 1992 reg Q4 Humberside) heir to his father, and Jack (b 1998 reg Q2 Lincolnshire) and another dau Jessica Frances (b 2003 reg Q2 Lincolnshire).

And, speaking of the "near ubiquitous" Abel Smiths, banking, multiply-LG and Queen- & peerage-related: Lucy Victoria Leslie-Melville, who married Claude George Melville Pym, was a descendant of Samuel Smith, MP, one of the sons of the banker Abel Smith.
