It seems that he is the eldest of three sons of (Simon) Charles BROMFIELD (born 1 IV 1957) and his wife (marriage registered July 1986 - Surrey South Western), Amanda M FUTTY (birth registered Q3 1961 - Surrey South Western).

Amanda M Futty would appear to be the eldest daughter of Allan Edwin FUTTY (born 9 X 1934) and his wife (marriage registered Q4 1960 - Cuckfield), Tessa Mary CROMPTON (born 26 VII 1936), who is herself the elder daughter of John William Richardson CROMPTON (14 V 1908 - 8 XII 1971), of that landed gentry family, of Little Lever, Lancashire (which, per Burke's Family Index, last appeared in Burke's Landed Gentry in the 1952 edition), and his wife (marriage registered Q3 1934 - East Grinstead), Katharine I HAYNE (1910? - ?).
