From the Telegraph of 17 Jan 2025: FARQUHAR David John Charles, who for the last 60 years has lived in the US but was born and brought up in Weymouth and then the Woking area, sadly and unexpectedly passed away on Christmas Eve at the age of 90. Greatly missed and loved by his twin Gillian Mary Tullis, and his family, wife Martha, daughters Alex and Gillie, son in law Phil and granddaughter Erin. Private cremation in Orleans, Massachusetts. A celebration of David's life is planned in the US by the family at a later date.

He was s of Cdr Charles Robert Stanier FARQUHAR OBE RN 1906-68 scion of that Scots gentry family of Acheron and Eleanor Mary Clara Macdonald 1907-88 d of Alexander Campbell Nicholson McHATTIE 1878-1918 by his 1905 m to Alice Mary Katherine BEAZUR 1881-1973. He m 1970 Martha Jane d of James Francis COLEMAN, and had two daus as above.
