From the Telegraph of 30 April 2024: COLE David W.A. died peacefully on 10th April 2024. Much loved husband of Henrietta, and father of Lucy and the late Tim. Funeral to be held at Putney Vale Crematorium on 7th May at 4 p.m. Donations to The Lily Foundation.

He was s of Sir David Lee COLE KCMG MC 1920-97 and Dorothy PATTON. He m 1980 Henrietta b 1951 d of Timothy Neil HUGHES-ONSLOW 1924-95 (6xgt gs of Sir Arthur ONSLOW 1624-88 who was gt gf of 1st Earl of ONSLOW 1731-1814) and Susan 1925-2016 d of Sir William Francis Stratford DUGDALE 1st Bt 1872-1965 and Margaret c1893-1965, d of Brig-Gen Sir Robert Wolridge Gordon GILMOUR 1st Bt 1857-1939, gd of 6th Earl BEAUCHAMP 1830-91 and gt gd of 5th Earl STANHOPE 1805-75 etc, and had a son and a dau as above.
