From the Telegraph of 17 July 2023: PALMER Cherry (née Gibbs) died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on 12th July, aged 95. Loving wife of the late William (Bill) and much loved mother of Serena, Alexandra, Howard and John and grandmother (Cha Cha) to Kate, Ben, Laura, Emily, Tom, Harriet, Sam and Nick Nock, and great grandmother. Her Funeral will take place at St James the Less, Winterbourne, Newbury… at 11.30 a.m. on 8th August. All are welcome.

She was d of Capt Arthur GIBBS and _ WILLIAMS. She m 1949 William Alexander CBE 1925-2020 s of Reginald Howard Reed PALMER 1898-1970 (gt nephew of 1st Baron PALMER 1858-1948) and Lena Florence  1900-81 d of Alexander Blyth COBHAM 1869-1950 sometime head of that gentry family f/o Shinfield Manor, and Emma Mary ANDERSON c1873-c1962 of Australia, and had two sons and two daus as above.
