From the Times of 21 July 2023: PORTER Alastair Robert Wilson CBE died peacefully on 12th July 2023, aged 94 years. Much-loved husband of Jenny, father of Frances, Angus and Duncan, grandfather and great-grandfather. Service of thanksgiving at Perrymount Road Methodist Church, Haywards Heath, at 2.30pm on 1st August.

He was s of James PORTER bhy his 1919 m reg Q3 Northumberland to Olivia DUNCAN. He m 1954 Jennifer (Jenny) Mary Priaulx b 1930 d of Capt Philip Charles FORMAN and Fan Caroline 1902-87 d of Charles Edward SPEARMAN 1863-1945 (gs of Sir Alexander Young SPEARMAN 1^st Bt 1793-1874) and Frances (Fanny) Henrietta Priaulx 1879-1955 d of John AIKMAN 1850-1914 and Alice Emily CAREY 1852-1941, and had two sons and a dau as above.
