From the Telegraph of 2 May 2026: WALLACE John Malcolm Agnew of Lochryan House. Died on 26th April aged 98. Beloved husband of the late Louise, dearly loved by his children Nicola, Ben and Jonica and his eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Private cremation. A Celebration of his life will be held in the garden at Lochryan on 5th September at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

He was s of Maj John Alexander Agnew WALLACE MC of Lochryan House, Cairnryan, Dumfries. He m 1955 Louise Arden 1933-2021 d of Michael HAWORTH-BOOTH 1896-1986 sometime head of that gentry family f/o Hullbank and his 1 w (her 2 h) Mabel Arden 1896-1965 d of Henry Richard Reginald BAGOT 1860-1908 (gt gs of 1 Baron BAGOT 1729-98, etc etc) and, as her 1 h, his w & cousin Frances Anna Mary 1860-1915 d of William Walter BAGOT 1847-93 (gt gs of Sir Walter Wagstaffe BAGOT 5 Bt 1702-68 who was f of 1 Baron BAGOT 1729-98 above) and Lucy Matilda 1847-95 d of Rev Robert Loftus TOTTENHAM 1809-93 (gs of 1 Marquess of ELY 1738-1806, etc) and Anne Dorothea d 1891 d of William ANKETELL 1790-1851 and Sarah d 1874 d of Lt-Col John Charles Frederick Waring MAXWELL of Finnebrogue, co Down, and had a son and two daus as above.
