The death is being reported of the Liberal Democrat Peer Lord (Tony) Greaves at the age of 78.  I believe he was still serving as a Councillor on Pendle Borough Council at the time of his death

I can answer that by myself now yes the LibDem Lords twittered it. And the oldest member of the House of Lords, Lord Christopher is on leave of absence.

My Lords, I deeply regret to inform the House of the death of the noble Lord, Lord Greaves, on 23 March. On behalf of the House, I extend our condolences to the noble Lord’s family and friends.

Anthony Robert GREAVES (born 1942) was the son of Geoffrey Lawrence GREAVES. He m 1968 Heather BAXTER, and with her had two dau, born 1978/1982. He was cr a Life Peer 2000 as Baron Greaves, of Pendle.
