From the Times of 14 September 2019: DAWNAY Ada (Adrian) Louise died on 10th September 2019, aged 79, following ahort but very brave confrontation with pancreatic cancer. She was much loved and adored by everybody and particularly Charles, Henry, George, Nicholas, Sophia and her six grandchildren. She offered so much and will be desperately missed. Her funeral will be a small service for her family and friends at St Luke's Chapel, Lane End Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight at 12pm on Thursday 19th September. It will be followed by a Memorial Service at 12pm on Friday 22nd November at Chelsea Old Church.

She was d of Maj-Gen Godfrey John HAMILTON CB CBE DSO (1912-85), scion of the Irish gentry family of that name of co Meath, and his 1st w (Mary) Penelope COLTHURST (1912-75), scion of the Bts of that name. She m 1968 Lt-Col Charles John DAWNAY (b 1938), scion of the DOWNE viscounts and of the BUCCLEUCH dukes etc, and had three sons and a dau as above.
