In the preface to "The Historical and the Posthumous Memoirs of Sir Nathaniel William Wraxall" (see electronic pages numbered 30 and 31 in
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/ba/The_historical_and_the_posthumous_memoirs_of_Sir_Nathaniel_William_Wraxall%2C_1772-1784%3B_ed.%2C_with_notes_and_additional_chapters_from_the_author%27s_unpublished_ms._%28IA_historicalposthu01wrax%29.pdf), it is stated that: 'In 1789 Wraxall married a Miss Lascelles, who is described as follows in the
" Biographical Dictionary of Living Authors," evidently from information supplied by the husband
himself : —" Jane, eldest daughter of Peter Lascelles,
Esq., of Knights, in Hertfordshire, descended from the ancient family of Lascelles of Mount Grace, in the North Riding of Yorkshire, a branch of which
family has been since raised to the peerage, first in
the person of Edwin Lascelles, created Baron of
Harewood, and since of Henry, successively created
Baron and Earl of that name." ' It therefore appears that the family connection with the Earls of Harewood exists, although I have not been able to find it.
