son of Lord Charles Spencer-Churchill (b 1940), by his 2nd wife the
former Elizabeth Jane Wyndham, scion of the Barons Egremont, & Claire
Gillian Troughton (b 1980), dau of Mr Jamie Troughton, by his wife the
former ____Campbell-Preston, dau of Lt-Col Robert Modan Thorne
Campbell-Preston, OBE, MC, JP (1909-1996), of that landed family, by
his wife the Hon Angela Pearson, scion of the Viscounts Cowdray, &c.

10th Duke of Atholl's half-sister is (I think) Sarah Troughton. Her
husband is the architect Jamie Troughton.

I know of no connection to the thespian Troughtons.

Coming late to this conversation, but just to confirm that the 10th Duke of Atholl's
mother was Hon Angela Pearson, so Sarah Troughton nee Campbell-Preston was
his half-sister and Claire Troughton now Spencer-Churchill was his half-niece (if
anyone uses that term outside genealogy!).

Found a photo of the married couple - Dominic and Claire Spencer-Churchill - in the Atholl Estates newsletters. The bride's
mother Sarah Troughton, nee Campbell-Preston, apparently owns Atholl Estates via the estate of her half-uncle or by sale to
