If someone has already re-subscribed to the Debrett's peerage database, could you furnish me the text given on the following daughters of the 1st Earl Jellicoe? They are cross-refererenced under the title of V Jellicoe (if I remember) as the peerage has a special remainder to the heirs male of these daughters:

If you go to a library and look at the last print edition they're all mentioned there. From recollection this earldom is likely to revert to the viscountacy due to a lack of legitimate heirs on the part of the current holder and the heir presumptive born in 66 having no male issue. These women should all be mentioned in Peerage.com along with their issue.

S.S. I haven't resubscribed, but I have a copy of the last print edition, plus my own notes on the immediate heirs.

Just to flesh out what marquess has posted, the present Earl has two sons. but neither one was born from  his one and only marriage, so they aren't in remainder.  The current hp is his brother, the Hon. Nicholas Charles (b. 1953), but he  has only 2 daughters.

The only other one in remainder is a half brother, the Hon. John Philip (b. 1966) , son of the 2nd Earl by his 2nd marriage.  He is married, with 1 daughter.  

There is also another son of the 2nd Earl, but he was born outside of marriage.

As marquess rightly said, next in line are the collateral branches, but those who are in remainder, descendants of the daughters of the 1st Earl, are in the line of succession only to the Viscountcy.  At first glance, each one of them appears to have a significant amount of descendants.

It does appear to be the same information, the only difference being by the time of the 2019 edition, Philip WINGFIELD's other two siblings had  passed away.

I checked thepeerage.com, to see if there was any information when they might have died, but there isn't.  They are shown as still living.

However,  I did find information that Jacqueline died in 2014, and Elizabeth died in 2004.  Here is the link:  https://family-tree.cayzer.com/?root=9

One last thing: thepeerage.com does give the name of the second daughter, Agnes Betty Gardiner (b. May 21, 1906, d. Jan. 24, 1911).  She died long before he was ennobled, so unlike her sisters, she never bore any courtesy title.

I think we discussed this before with the illegitimate daughter of the late last Earl of Munster. Under the terms of the royal warrant of the early 2000s, those children adopted by a peer, whether legitimate or not, are entitled to courtesy titles.

Are you sure that Princess Helena Victoria was "HRH"? I though that she was merely "HH", but I've never read the patents or whatever order granted her and her sister that style.

Yes, Princess Helena Victoria (and her sister Princess Marie Louise) were HH not HRH of "Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg" although this was dropped when the Princesses (along with other members of the Royal Family) renounced their German titles in 1917 becoming HH Princess Helena Victoria and HH Princess Marie Louise

Re Jellicoe family, I know, or have known, the family well, and I think it breaches no confidences to add (but please check):

The present Lord Jellicoe’s son, Justin, died in 2024.

Clare Fisher, the mother of Jack, died I believe in 2022.

I was not aware that Lord Jellicoe was an engineer, which seems out of character. He has in the past described himself as a “musician”.

Jonathan Scott, husband of Annabella, died in 2013. See his obituary in The Times 31st January 2013. His genealogy is given in the BLG, I recall most recently in the Kingdom of Scotland volume edited by Peter Dewar.

I checked ancestry for the death of Justin JELLICOE, and found a record for a June 5, 2024 death.

However, there are 2 problems with what I found.

First, the death record was for a Justin TIMUR, while the Earl's son's middle name is AMADEUS.

Second, the death record was for a Justin JELLICOE, who was born in 2024, while the Earl's son was born in 1970.

Nicholas, do you, or does anyone else, have any additional information?

I see that Who's Who 2020 also gives Patrick, third Lord Jellicoe, as an "engineer". 

His mother, Patsy, was (I recall) born in Shanghai, of Irish extraction.

I'll see what I can find out about Justin Amadeus, the son, born 1970.

Patrick Jellicoe's younger brother, Nicholas, of Geneva, has written two or so books on the exploits of the famous Admiral, his grandfather. 

The sister, Zara, may now be living in the UK.

Looks like there is an error in the records, saying that he was born in 2024.
