Change in name and gender for one of the Rosebery triplets

I don't recall seeing this here, and  honestly, just found out about it from the peeragenews,blogspot.com post on the PRIMROSE/Kwame engagement.

According to thepeerage.com, one of the three triplet daughters born on October 13th, 2003, to the then Lord and Lady Dalmeny, has changed her name and gender.

The baby born the Hon Lavinia Eva Marion, now goes by the name the Hon (probably should be Lord) Ptolmey Fydor Rex.

The heir is the Earl's son, Lord Dalmeny, born 2005.

Technically is he not now the Earl's older son?

Don't know what the law on this is if he claimed to be the heir.

Not suggesting he would, but we seem in uncharted legal territory.

To put it very simply since this has been discussed over and over again on here, both the legal and social aspect, the change of gender has no bearing on the succession to a peerage.

If elder son of a peer, still has succession rights if he transitions. We already have precedents on this case.

Though, daughters transition has no effects to succession at the present time.

It shouldn't have an effect at anytime or the patent  governing the peerage will be made a mockery of.

Under the Gender Recognition Act 2004 peerages are not affected by the legal changing of a persons gender.
