Capt Hugo Ivo Meynell 1931-2013

.Capt Hugo Ivo Meynell, who died 2 February, 2013, aged 81, was a scion of the landed family of Meynell, of Meynell Langley, Derbyshire. He was born 23 Nov, 1931, son of Hugo Francis Meynell, OBE (b 29 Dec 1903  d), of Melbourne, Derby, by his wife the former Doris Isabel Morrison, of Valparaiso, Chile.

Educated at Stowe and RMA Sandhurst. Career: Capt 9th/12th Royal Lancers; married 22 Jun 1961, Sarah Virginia, daughter of Gen Sir Richard McCreery, GCB, KBE, DSO, MC (1898-1967), by his wife the former Lettice St Maur, scion of the Dukes of Somerset, &c.

A Service of Thanksgiving takes place at Long Compton Church, Warwickshire, 19 MAR, 2013.
