Husband of Susan and father of Liz, Jane and Dona. He m 1949 Susan Madeleine MBE b 1924 daughter of William Raymond Shirecliffe STEPHENSON (1898-1977) (scion of the Stephenson baronets (UK 1936) being the 2nd son of the 1st Baronet) and (m 1923) Madeleine Rose BUTTERWORTH (d 1990).  They had 3 daughters Elizabeth Susan b 1951, Jane Madeleine b 1953 (m with issue) and Anne Catriona b 1955 (m with issue)
