I'm trying to update this list, and have found several who have died and 2 that seem to be missing.

Those who have died:

#2 King Constantine II in 2023
#3 Ps. Irene in 2026
#17 Baroness Maria Magdalena in 2020
#23 Princess Birgitta in 2024
#43 Prince Andreas in 2025
#44 Claudia Schafer in 2016
#47 Prince Marco Torlonia in 2014
#53 Infanta Maria del Pilar in 2020

The two that I have on my list, and for whom I could find no date of death are a brother and a sister who would fit in between #17, the late Baroness Maria Magdalena, and #18, Grand Duchess Maria Vladmirovna.

They are Ps. Marie-Cecile of Prussia (b. 1942), who is/was married to Duke Friedrich August of Oldenburg, and her younger brother, Prince Christian-Sigismund of Prussia (b. 1946).

Does anyone know if they are still living, and if anyone else on the list has died?

Thanks.

Brooke

Hi Brian.

I have 48 still living-- the 46 from the list, plus the two that I mentioned.

Where do we differ?

Prince Christian Sigismund of Prussia is still alive and no evidence online that Princess Marie-Cecile has died. Both should be added to the list

Hi BRMENMURRAY.

Thanks for the information.

#5 Princess Dorothea died in 2025.
#23 Princess Desiree died in 2026.

That would indeed put the total at 46, including Princess Marie-Cecile and Prince Christian-Sigismund.

I am slowly trying to wind my way through Victoria's descendants, with the hope, at some point,  of putting together a list of her living direct descendants.

I believe there are 3 more generations to go through.

I am basing my list on  DPB 2008, the last edition which featured the descendants of Queen Victoria.  I'm just going by the years of birth and death, not the actual dates.

So far, I have found 2 mistakes of note, for a mother and son, descendants of Prince Leopold, 1st Duke of Albany.

Princess Karoline Mathilde of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha is shown with a YOD of 1982.  The correct YOD is 1983.

Her son from her second marriage, Peter Michael Schnirring, is shown with a YOB of 1940.  The correct YOB is 1943.
