The engagement was announced between Beilby [C.B. Forbes Adam], eldest son of Mr and Mrs Charles Forbes Adam, of Skipwith Hall, North Yorkshire, and Hermione S A Hasell-McCosh, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert Hasell-McCosh, of Dalemain, Cumbria.

Hermione is likely descended from the 1948 marriage of Bryce Knox McCosh to Sylvia Mary Hasell, of that LG Family.

It seems clear from sources on the internet that Miss Hasell-McCosh, whose christian names in full are Hermione Sylvia Alice, is the elder daughter of Robert Bryce Hasell-McCosh (born February 1953) and his wife (Elizabeth) Jane, née HALSEY (born February 1954). Her paternal grandparents were, indeed, Bryce Knox McCOSH (c. 1920 - 3 III 2017) and Sylvia Mary HASELL (8 XI 1922 - 17 VIII 1991). Mrs McCOSH was, incidentally, previously the widow of Lt Henry William Somerville MARSHALL, who was killed in action at the age of 21 on 26 November 1944, having only been married for five months.
