I was intrigued by the name 'Codrington', and sure enough, these Codringtons are relatives- in fact, interestingly, this is the senior branch of the family- of the baronets of that name (in two creations, 1721 and 1876, the latter deriving from the former); Stephen Codrington's direct ancestor, Thomas Stretton Codrington, appears in the 'Codrington of Wroughton' pedigree in BLG 1879. The Wroughton Codringtons and the baronets both descend from Robert, of Didmarton, Glos.
