From the Telegraph of 30 Jan 2025: STUDD Edward. Loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, predeceased by his beloved wife Prudence, died peacefully at home on 20th January 2025, aged 95. Funeral Service at 11.30 a.m. on Friday 28th February in Sherborne Abbey and afterwards at the Digby Memorial Church Hall. He was s of Sir Eric STUDD 2nd Bt 1887-1975 and Kathleen Stephana 1895-1976 d of Lydstone Joseph LANGMEAD 1857-1931 by his 1891 m reg Q3 London to Lucy Stephana WALKER 1866-1954. He m 1960 Prudence Janet 1932-2024 d of Alastair Douglas FYFE OBE 1902-74 of Riding Mill, Northumberland by his 1 June 1927 m (Jesmond) to Phyllis Mary 1900-79 d of Henry INGLEDEW 1861-1955 (solicitor) by his c1898 m reg Q1 Kent to Jenny Ethel FRAIN 1869-1962, and had two sons and a dau. His elder son succeeds him:
Sir PHILIP ALASTAIR FAIRFAX Studd 5th Bt has yet to establish his claim, b 27 Oct 1961: m 1987 (div 1999) as her 1st h Georgina Anne Gartside b March 1962 (Mrs Charles Cotton) d of Sir Roger Albert Gartside NEVILLE VRD 1931-2005 and Brenda Mary Parke HAMILTON 1932-2022, and had a son and a dau.
