From the Telegraph of 20 May 2025: INNES James (Jamie) Alexander died peacefully at home on Saturday 5th April aged 86. Much loved husband, father, Grandpa, brother and father-in-law. Service of Thanksgiving on Thursday 26th June at 2 p.m., Border Union Showground, Kelso.

He was s of Lt-Col Berowald Alfred INNES 1904-81 (11xgt gs of Robert INNES d c1551 of Innermarkie and Lady Elspeth STEWART d of 1^st Earl of ATHOLL c1440-1512 etc, who were 2xgt gp of Sir Robert INNES 1^st Bt of Balvenie) and Betty Ida 1906-97 d of Alastair Campbell SANDEMAN 1858-1928 scion of that Scots gentry family and Ida Maud BEVAN 1870-1956 scion of that gentry family f/o Trent Park. He m 1969 Frances Thorbur b 1942 ref 572/01 0041 Neilston, Renfrewshire d of Hugh LEGGAT of Pirnie House, Kelso, Roxburghshire, and had a son and a dau.
