From the Telegraph of 26 March 2026: Mr H.A. Lakin and Miss K.L. Pike The engagement is announced between Hugo, son of Mr and Mrs Michael Lakin, of Iping, West Sussex, and Katie, daughter of Mr and Mrs Matthew Pike, of Milland, West Sussex.

Although located in West Sussex, Milland, where the prospective bride's parents live, has the postal address of Liphook, Hampshire (it is fairly near to the county boundary). 192.com shows that, on the electoral registers for 2013-20, Matthew W J Pike was living at an address there, with Sarah L Pike, Harry A J Pike and Katherine (or "Katie") L Pike.

Matthew William Joseph PIKE (per company records, born on 10 X 1964) was married to Sarah Louise RANCE in 1993. The GRO index shows that the birth of their daughter, Katherine Louise PIKE (mother's maiden name Rance) was registered in Kensington and Chelsea in Q1 1995.

I have done a bit more research on the prospective bride's family. Her father, Matthew Pike, is the son of Anthony Joseph Cyprian PIKE (2 IX 1927 - 24 X 1986) and his wife (marriage registered Q1 1963 - Chelsea), Ann A BREINGAN (born 1935; she may be the Ann Agnes Pike, born that year, whose death was registered in Hampshire in Q4 2022, but I cannot be sure).

 

Anthony Pike was himself the only son of the artist Joseph Cecil Mary PIKE (6 III 1883 - 10 VII 1956) and his wife (married 26 IV 1924), Constance CARROLL (3 IV 1895 - ?), who also had two daughters, Barbara Mary PIKE (1925 - 25 II 1999) and Margaret Anne PIKE (1929 - 9 I 2015).

 

Barbara Pike was the wife (married 18 XI 1944) of (Humphrey) John Lawrence CODRINGTON (5 V 1925 - 8 III 2003), of that landed gentry (LG) family, by whom she had six sons and four daughters. Her third daughter, Katharine May CODRINGTON (born 1 II 1960), is the wife (married 28 VI 1980) of the 15th Baron Stafford.

 

Margaret Pike was the wife (married 1955) of Gerald Mordaunt Broome SALMON, OBE (27 IX 1921 - 16 IV 2002), by whom she had four sons. Mr Salmon was a son of Capt Lionel Mordaunt Broome SALMON (6 VI 1888 - 7 XI 1964) and his wife (married 1 I 1916), Henrietta Elizabeth KEAYS-YOUNG (19 XII 1890 - 30 VII 1976), of that family, which, per Burke's Family Index, last appeared in Burke's LG in the 1952 edition.
