From the Telegraph of 10 May 2014: KIRKWOOD Sir Andrew Tristram Hammett died on 8th May 2014, peacefully at home, aged 69. Beloved husband of Penelope, and father of Sophia, Tristram and Edward. Funeral at St. Martin's Church, Blackheath, Guildford GU4 8QT on Thursday 15th May at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only.
He was s of Maj Tristram Guy Hammett KIRKWOOD (1914-ka1944), scion of that gentry family formerly of Gore Court, and Margaret Elizabeth Montagu BROWN. He m 1968 Penelope Jane (b 1947 reg Q4 Bromley, Kent) d of Leslie Clifford EATON of Frensham House, Leatherhead, Surrey and Kathleen G AINSWORTH, and had 2 sons and a dau (note his dau's name is SOPHIA Louise P (b 1969 reg Q3 London) and not Sophie as recorded in Burke's Peerage 107th edn).
