From the Times of 28 March 2014: LADY GUINNESS Valerie Susan (nee North) died on 20th March 2014 aged 77. She died following a massive brain haemorrhage. Wonderful and beloved wife of John, mother of Lucy, Rupert, Peter and grandmother of Sigismond, Celeste, Arthur, Boris and Clement. A private funeral service will be held on April 1st and a memorial service at St Mary and All Saints Church, Little Walsingham, Norfolk NR22 6BL, will be held at 2pm on Friday the 11th April. No flowers. Donations if desired to Save The Children Fund....
She was d of Roger NORTH (1901-85), scion of the NORTH barons (abeyant since 1942), and Pamela Susan (1908-97) d of Rev Henry William Leycester O'RORKE (1869-1939) of The Manor House, North Litchfield, Hampshire and Christine Mary _. She m 1967 Sir John Ralph Sidney GUINNESS CB (b 1935), scion of that Irish gentry family of co Kildare, and had 2 sons and 1 dau.
