Loopy has copied this from the Downing Street press release - https://www.gov.uk/government/news/political-peerages-2020 - so I believe the error is theirs and not his - I am not aware of Richard Benyon having been made a Knight, and I think it is an error to style him as "Sir". He is a Privy Counsellor.

Richard Henry Ronald BENYON (born 1960) is a scion of the BENYON of Englefield LG family, though not in the historic male line. His grandfather, Vice Admiral Richard BENYON (1892 - 1968), son of Sir John SHELLEY, 9th Baronet (1848 - 1931) and Marion Emma BENYON (died 1948), inherited Englefield from a kinsman Sir Henry Arthur BENYON, 1st Baronet (1884 - 1959), who dsp, and subsequently changed his name to BENYON by Deed Poll in 1964.

Richard BENYON is in remainder to the SHELLEY baronetcy as above, and is also scion of the SALISBURY marquesses, SKELMERSDALE barons, CLARENDON earls, HUGHES baronets, etc., etc.

He married firstly Emma Helen VILLIERS (born 1963), a scion of the CLARENDON earls (descended from the 1st Earl) and many other families of note, and had 3 sons. He married secondly Zoe L B ROBINSON and had 2 sons.

He is therefore a distant cousin of his first wife

Following Lord Etherton on 23 December, two more titles appear to have been created today, 25 January: The House of Lords website shows Lord Godson and Lord Hannan of Kingsclere as new members. The latter is presumably "of Kingsclere" because the title "Hannen" was used by James Hannen when appointed as a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary in 1891.

Doesn't have an entry in Who's Who and a search on the UK births, deaths and marriages turns up nothing.

Godson has links to New York, Washington DC and Massachusetts in his professional life. Doing a more generic search on Ancestry, this comes up:

Cross this with the UK Electoral register, there are only two people called Dean Godson: 

Dean Godson b. 1984–86, residence: Stevenage, Hertfordshire (2007–08) <--- too young to be him

Dean Godson b. 1960–62, residence: London (2004–06)

Appears to all link up, but probably want to see if you can get check it some other way.

A little digging uncovered the family newsletters- viewable and downloadable at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5t0132h8r0740kc/AAAOsBSDSGjwVJ2jIkyJsa7pa?dl=0 - from which the above originated; an account in Newsletter 7 (1988) given by Celia Dodd (née Godson), the producer of the newsletters- which would require corroboration, given the newsletter was produced at a time before easy access to records etc- gives a likely outline of Dean Godson's ancestry: 

"It would be impossible to complete this newsletter without paying tribute to Joseph Godson who died 5 September 1986.  In fact the family from which he came had been known as Godson since the earlier part of this century.  Previously it had been called Goldson. [Chart JE1] I corresponded with Mr Godson in 1982 when he told me of his Polish/Russian origins, and I have a collection of newspaper articles about him and his important role in world affairs. This obituary from The Times newspaper mentions many of his activities. He was also author of a book called ‘Transatlantic Crisis: Europe and America in the 70s’. Joseph’s parents were Aaron and Ida Goldson/Godson. His elder son, Roy, is presumed to be the Dr Roy Godson of Washington University who spoke on Radio 4 in 1977 about American Labour organisations, and the Professor Roy Godson who appeared on Thames Television’s programme ‘Daytime’ in 1984. His younger son, Dean, is thought to be the Dean Godson, history student at Cambridge University, who was mentioned in the Daily Express in 1983 when the university held a secret ballot about CND.  [See Newsletters No 11.3 & 21.3]"

THE QUEEN has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 4 February 2021 to confer the dignity of a Barony of the United Kingdom for life upon Wajid Iltaf Khan, by the name, style and title of BARON KHAN OF BURNLEY, of Burnley in the County of Lancashire.

Lord Coaker was born on 17 June 1953 and Lord Khan of Burnley on 15 October 1979. The "of Burnley" is presumably to distinguish the title from that of Lord Kahn, created 1965.

Lord Khan of Burnley must be one of the youngest Life Peers to be created, born 15 Oct 1979.

By my reckoning there are currently six life peers younger than Lord Khan of Burnley: Baronesses Blackwood of North Oxford (16 October 1979) and Hunt of Bethnal Green (12 March 1980), and Lords Lebedev (8 May 1980), Sarfraz (25 September 1981), Parkinson of Whitley Bay (30 June 1983) and Wharton of Yarm (16 February 1984). The youngest life peer at the time of creation was Lord Mitford, already a hereditary peer as the 6th Lord Redesdale, who was born on 18 July 1967 and made a life peer on 18 April 2000, aged 32. There have been 31 life peers who were younger than Lord Khan of Burnley at the time of creation.

Although Birmingham is the second largest city in the UK, as far as I am aware this is only the second time that it has formed part of a peerage title (excluding its use in territorial designations). The only other example of which I am aware is Lord Jones of Birmingham (formerly Sir Digby Jones), so created in 2007.
