Flora & Isla McGowan

[Michael Rhodes]

Emma McGowan, wife of the Hon. Harry John Charles McGowan (b. 1971),
son and heir of the 3rd Baron McGowan, gave birth to twin daughters,
Flora Marina Fox, and Isla Cory Fox, 10 October, 2007, sisters for
Sophie Isobella
Fox, who was b 21 Jan 2003, and for Martha Davina Fox, who was b 8 Nov
2004.

The McGowans married, 13 October, 2001, in Dunkeld Cathedral. Mrs
McGowan is a daughter of Mr & Mrs Duncan Hattersley Smith, of
Killiecrankie, Perthshire.

Shame twin girls, better luck next time, there is another male born in
85 and my Debretts 2000 says that the brother who lives in Bragborough
hall or somewhere of that name, is married, but I don't know if there
are any children?

The couple wed in 2001 so they have been married for 6 years.

4 daughters in 6 years-- reminds me of Lord Dalmeny and his wife. I
think they had 4 daughters (including triplets) also in a short period
of time before finally having a son. I'm sure we haven't heard the
last of the McGowan offspring although I hope for the future Lady
McGowan's sake, the next one is a son.

Debrett's 2003 lists his Lordship's 2 younger brothers. Both are
married but only the younger one has children-- 1 son (b. 1985) and 2
daughters. (The brother is married to the daughter of Life Baron
Eden of Winton.) Otherwise, there is no one in remainder.
