She was d of Capt Albert Henry WILLIAMS OBE 1863-1941 of Langstone, Hants (a yr s of Sir George WILLIAMS 1821-1905 founder of the YMCA (ODNB) and Helen HITCHCOCK 1832-1919) by his 24 April 1920 m (St Peter, Eaton Sq) to as his 2^nd w Edith Barbara 1892-[1930] d of Francis Edward CROW CMG 1863-1939 and Edith Mabel SHAW 1867-1937. She m 1950 as his 2^nd w Sir Francis Spencer PORTAL 5^th Bt 1903-84, and had three sons (the eldest is the present 6^th Bt).
