From the Telegraph of 5 April 2025: PERRY Major Doctor Ian Charles, died peacefully at home on March 25th 2025, having stoically fought a long illness, aged 85. Adored husband of Marion, beloved and much cherished father to Johanna and Helen, grandfather to Emma, Alice, Anna, Arthur, Emily, Louise and Charlotte. Great-grandfather to Sienna, Enid, Iris and Huxley. Much loved stepfather of Andrew, Lizzie and James. An extraordinary and inspirational life, an exceptional doctor, having touched the lives of so many, a true gentleman. Funeral on Monday April 14th 2025, at St Leonard's Church, Grateley, Andover, Hampshire, at 11.30 a.m., and afterwards at The Officers Mess, Middle Wallop. Dress: Colourful attire. Memorial to be held at St Michael's, Cornhill, City of London. Date to follow.
