From the Telegraph of 14 Dec 2024: SMITH-BINGHAM Jennifer Margaret (née Carey), died peacefully and surrounded by family on 1st December 2024. Much loved mother, stepmother, grandmother and aunt. Private family service. Donations, in memory of Jenny, to the RNLI. Thanksgiving for her life to follow Summer 2025.

She was d of Rupert Sausmarez CAREY OBE 1904-81 scion of that gentry family f/o La Ville-au-Roy and Margaret Stewart 1906-2000 d of Rev William David SCOTT 1848-1913 and Margaret Massie BARCLAY. She m 1^st 1960 (div 1967) as his 2^nd (of 3) w 5^th Baron ANNALY 1927-90, and had two daus. She m 2^nd 1967 Charles Arthur 1931-2003 s of Lt Arthur Turberville SMITH-BINGHAM 1906-88 scion of that gentry family f/o Mickleton Manor and his 1^st w Jean 1909- d of Charles Tuller GARLAND 1874-1921 and Margaret WILLLIAMS 1881-1917, and had two sons:

Rupert Charles b 1969 reg Q3 Oxon who m 2000 reg Q3 Berks Sasha Jane b 1969 d of Hon Sir Anthony George BERRY 1925-84 (yst s of 1^st Viscount KEMSLEY 1883-1968) and his 2^nd w (her 1^st h) Sarah Anne CLIFFORD-TURNER b 1939 (Lady Donoughue), and had a son (Louis Alexander b 2004 reg Q3 Hammersmith) and a dau (Holly Zahra b 2002 reg Q2 Hammersmith).

2. Hugo Garland b 1972 reg Q2 Oxon who m 7 June 2003 (Times 11 June) Alice Cassia b 1972 d of Stuart Wyndham MURRAY THREIPLAND 1947-2023 scion of that Scots gentry family of Dale, Toftingall & Fingask and Belinda Mary (Min) 1942-2019 d of Maj Anthony Dermot Melloney MUSKER 1918-1959 scion of that gentry family of Shadwell Park and as her 1^st h Hon Mary Angela FITZROY 1919-84 (Mrs Richard Mayon-White) d of 2nd Viscount DAVENTRY 1893-1976 (with all the noble & royal associations pertaining to that family name) and Grace Zoe 1893-1978 d of Claude Hume Campbell GUINNESS 1852-1895 scion of the well-known Irish family of that name, and his 2nd w Hon Zoe Virginie NUGENT 1868-1953 d of 3rd Baron NUGENT 1841-1909 and his Turkish wife, and had a son (Benjamin Blue Patrick b 2010 reg Q2 Wilts) and a dau (Isabella Grace b 17 Nov 2006 reg Q4 Salisbury).
