From the Times of 11 April 2026: DREYER Eleanor Paton (née Copland) serenely in York Hospital on 14th March 2026, aged 84. Deeply devoted wife of Martin, loving mum of Charles and Mark and dear granny to Matthew, Emilia and Phoenix. Loved by all she met. Cremation private. Memorial celebration at Holy Trinity, Holtby, on Friday 17th April at 2.30pm. At her request, please wear no black.

She was d of Leslie COPLAND of Westmount, Quebec. She m 1966 (Quebec) Martin Raymond b 1942 Lt-Cdr Raymond Garnier DREYER MBE RN 1919-2006 scion of that English gentry family of Danish origin, and Molly Eileen 1920-2012 d of Ernest Higginson Ardagh TRAVERS-DRAPES of Yercand, South India, and had issue
