HAMMOND-MAUDE, Sonia (nee Peake) died on Thursday 30 July.

She was a dau of the 1st Viscount Ingleby and Lady Joan Rachel de Vere
CAPELL (dau of 7th Earl of Essex) and married 1st 1946 (div 1958) (the
man who later became) the 12th Marquess of Tweeddale and is the mother
of the present Marquess. She married 2nd 1966 Maj Michael William
Vernon HAMMOND-MAUDE.

Hon Sonia Hammond-Maude had three sons by her first husband (md 1946,
div 1958), including twins, who succeeded as 13th and 14th (present)
Marquess, and a third son who is the heir presumptive. None of her
sons is married, and none has issue. Her second husband (md 27 June
1966 ), a former diplomat, had daughters by an earlier marriage to
Rosamond Patrick (d ca 1962, apparently an invalid after her marriage)
died on 6 June 1998. His father was Captain Gerald William Edward
Maude, The Green Howards, or the 1st Battalion, Yorkshire Regiment -
- - (d. India 5 November 1919). His mother may have been a Hammond.

Michael Hammond-Maude's daughters are
1. Jennifer Mary Victoria [Jennifer d'Abo] (14 August 1945 - 30 April
2003 France, d aged 57 of cancer) md 1stly ca 1963 (aged 18), Captain
David Gwyn Morgan-Jones, officer in the Household Cavalry, before
1970, issue 1 daughter. She married, secondly 15 April 1970 (div
1976), Peter Egbert Cadbury, son of A/Cdre. Sir Egbert Cadbury and
Mary Forbes Phillips, on 15 April 1970. Issue 1 son. She md 3rdly (div
1987) Robin d'Abo
1.1. Sophy (or Sophie) Morgan-Jones, now a businesswoman in her own
right (b before 1970)
1.2. Joel Cadbury, restauranteur, md Divia Lalvani, daughter of Gulu
Lalvani, tycooon and his former wife.
1.2.1. Aryana Sophy Jennifer Cadbury b. 29 Sep 2007
2. Clarissa md David Carleton Paget (d by 2009)
2.1. Talia Carleton Paget engaged 19 Feb 2009 to Timothy Mark Hope-
Cobbold (b 1976), descended from the Earls of Hopetoun (later
Marquesses of Linlithgow) and in remainder to the Earldom of
Annandale
& Hartfell, son of Major Philip William Hope-Cobbold [b. 27 December,
1943], of Glemham Hall, Suffolk, by his 1st wife the former Antonia
Jay Hutton-Potts (now Mrs Jay Hope-Johnstone of Linton,
Cambridgeshire)
