John Michael Beaumont OBE has passed away aged 88. Son of Francis Beaumont and his first wife Enid Ripley. He inherited the Fief in 1974, following the death of his grandmother Sibyl Hathaway, the Dame of Sark.
In 1956 he married Diana La Trobe-Bateman and the couple had two sons, Christopher and Anthony.
His eldest son Major Christopher Beaumont has inherited the fief and has been sworn in as the 23rd Seigneur of Sark.
