She was d of Capt Sir Ralph Howard FOWLER OBE 1889-1944 and Eileen Mary RUTHERFORD 1901-30 d of the Nobel laureate and 1st & only Baron RUTHERFORD OF NELSON OM 1871-1937 and Mary Georgina NEWTON. She m 1949 reg Q3 Cambs Henry Shearer TAYLOR 1920-97.
