From the Telegraph & Times of 5 October 2021: WALKER Michael Giles Neish, CBE, aged 88. Died peacefully at home near Kinross on Wednesday September 29th 2021, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Survived by children Simon, Nicola and Geordie and three grandchildren. Private cremation. No letters please but donations to Alzheimer’s Scotland most welcome.
He was s of Lt-Col Sir William Giles Newsom WALKER TD 1905-89 and Mildred Brenda 1906-83 d of Sir Michael Barker NAIRN 1st Bt 1838-1915 and Emily Frances 1845-1939 d of Alfred Rimington SPENCER c1821-[1864] by his 1842 m reg Q3 London to Ann WILSON c1821-. He m 1960 Margaret Ruby b 1934 d of Lt-Col John David HILLS 1895-1975 and Lady Rosemary Ethel BARING 1908-2004 d of 2nd Earl of CROMER 1877-1953 (also gd of 4th Earl of MINTO 1845-1914 and 2xgt gd of 2nd Earl GREY 1764-1845 etc), and had two sons and a dau as above.
