From the Telegraph of 16 Aug 2024: LEIGH PEMBERTON Jeremy Leigh Pemberton, CBE. Died on 5th August 2024 aged 90. Very dearly loved by his wife Virginia and son Richard. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held in The Guards' Chapel, London… at 11.30 a.m. on Monday 7th October 2024.

He was s of Capt Robert Douglas LEIGH PEMBERTON MBE MC 1896-1964 sometime head of that gentry family of Torry Hill (and f of the LP Baron KINGSDOWN 1927-2013) and Helen Isabel 1898-1985 d of Rev Francis Henry PAYNE-GALLWEY 1859-1934 (gs of Gen Sir William PAYNE 1st Bt 1759-1831 by his w a dau of 1st Earl of DUNRAVEN & MOUNT EARL 1752-1824 whose w was a dau of 1st Earl of ILCHESTER 1704-76) and Florence Kate Lowry COLE 1857-1927. He m 1st 1968 (div 1980) Mary d of John S AMES, and had a son as above. He m 2nd 1982 Virginia Marion d of John Noel Ormiston CURLE and Diana Hawtrey 1923-73 d of Cdr Ralph Hawtrey DEANE RN 1884-1966.
