DOCKERY The engagement is announced between Jasper, son of Michael Waller-Bridge of King’s Lynn, Norfolk, and Teresa Waller-Bridge of Battersea, London, and Michelle, younger daughter of Michael and Lorraine Dockery of Gidea Park, Essex.
Jasper Cyprian b 1987 only s of Michael Cyprian WALLER-BRIDGE b 1953 (gt gs of Lt-Col Sir Henry Mulleneux GRAYSON 1st Bt 1865-1951 and scion of the WARD-BOUGHTON-LEIGH gentry family of Brownsover Hall) and Teresa Mary b 1951 d of Sir John Edward Longueville CLERKE 12th Bt 1913-2009 and his former wife Mary Beviss 1924-98 d of Lt-Col Ivor Reginald Beviss BOND OBE MC 1885-? of Natal, South Africa by his 1923 m reg Q3 Surrey to as her 2nd h (her 1st was a scion of the Ward Jackson gentry family of Normanby Hall) Mary Isobel WILSON 1887-1981.
The prospective groom is the brother of the acclaimed writer & actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The couple, who have been together since 2019, met through friends and first appeared together at the Rome Film Festival.
Dockery, Lady Mary Crawley in the ITV period drama, had been engaged before, but her fiancé, John Dineen, died of a rare form of cancer in 2015 at the age of 34.
Two years after his death, Dockery said: “I don’t have the vocabulary to describe what it felt like. And what it still feels like.”
But today Dockery, 40, and Waller-Bridge, who is six years younger and a film and TV producer, have announced their engagement.

Waller-Bridge has worked for a leading talent agency, and was manager for the singer Louis Tomlinson, who made his name with One Direction.
