Edith MILLARD Obituary
MILLARD Edith Mary Kathleen, died at Oak Bay Kiwanis Pavilion on August 3rd, 2003. Mary was born in Milner, B.C. on January 14th, 1919, but spent most of her life on Vancouver Island, first at Shawnigan Lake and later in Victoria, where she graduated from Mount View High School on Carey Road. From 1945 until retiring in 1978, she worked in the Provincial Vital Statistics Branch as part of the former Topaz Avenue vault staff. Mary loved to travel and her journeys took her far and wide from northern Vancouver Island to South Africa. She also enjoyed singing in the choir of Monterey Centre in Oak Bay. She was predeceased by her father, Edward, in 1947 and her mother, Marguerite (Meg), in 1979 and leaves several cousins on the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and England. Many thanks to the staff of Oak Bay Kiwanis Pavilion who gave seven years of dedicated service to Mary's needs. ........

She appears in DPB 2019 print edition just as Mary Millar b 1919. DPB online states (with name Edith Mary Millard) she dunm (without date) clerk of Victoria, BC, Canada. DPB also gives her mother's name as Margaret (nee Pearson) d 1977.
She was the d of Edward Bouchier MILLARD (1881-1947), scion of the Barons Berners being descended from the Rev George WILSON brother of the 9th and 10th Barons.
