He was s of Henry Frederick Hugh COBBE b 1975 (s of (Richard) Alexander Charles COBBE b 1945 scion of that Irish gentry family and Hon Isabel Anne Marie Henrietta DILLON b 1942 d of 20^th Viscount DILLON 1911-79) and Maria K d of Thomas ZAHN of Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.
