There is a common descent from William FELLOWES (died 14 XII 1676) and his wife (married 27 IX 1653), Susannah COULSON. Their eldest son, William FELLOWES (4 X 1660 - 19 I 1724), was the ancestor of the Barons de Ramsey through his eldest son, Coulson FELLOWES (12 X 1696 - 23 II 1769), while his third son, William FELLOWES (28 VII 1705 - 30 I 1775) was the father of ROBERT FELLOWES (1742 - 8 IV 1829), who was the 3 x greats-grandfather of Robert FELLOWES, Baron Fellowes [of Shotesham in the County of Norfolk], GCB, GCVO, QSO, PC (born 11 XII 1941) and the 4 x greats-grandfather of Lt Col Roger James Lyon FELLOWES (these two are therefore fourth cousins, once removed).

The second son of William FELLOWES AND Susannah COULSON, Thomas FELLOWES (3 V 1663 - 1748) was the 5 x greats-grandfather of Julian Alexander KITCHENER-FELLOWES, Baron Fellowes of West Stafford, DL (born 17 VIII 1949). Lord Fellowes of West Stafford is therefore a seventh cousin of Lord Fellowes [of Shotesham] and a seventh cousin, once removed upwards, of Lt Col Fellowes.

Lord Fellowes [of Shotesham] and Lt Col Roger FELLOWES also have a common descent from the Hon Thomas Lyon MP (1741 - 1796), the third son of the 8th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne (they are fourth cousins, once removed, through this relationship also).
