From the Telegraph of 15 Aug 2024: SPENCER-NAIRN Joanna (née Salt) aged 86, died peacefully, on Sunday 4th August 2024 at St Andrews Community Hospital, Fife, after a short illness. Wonderful wife to Robert for 61 years. Devoted mother to Katie, Jamie and Andrew (Hamish). Proud grandmother of Alastair, Rory, Tatiana and Daisy. There will be a private family cremation. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at Monimail Parish Church… at 2.30 p.m. on Friday 20th September 2024.

She was d of Lt-Cdr George Stevenson SALT RN 1908-ka(Oct)1940 (s of Col Sir Thomas Anderton SALT 2nd Bt 1863-(June)1940) and as her 1st h Lilian Bridget 1912-2011 d of Frederick Stewart FRANCIS of Thakeham, Sussex by his 1904 m reg Q4 London to Lilian DRAKE. She m 1963 Sir Robert Arnold SPENCER-NAIRN 3rd Bt b 1933 s of Sir Douglas Leslie Spencer SPENCER-NAIRN 2nd Bt 1906-70 and Elizabeth Livingston c1909-1985 d of Arnold James HENDERSON by his 1903 m ref 168/4/11 Old Aberdeen to Mary Livingston ADAM, and had two sons and a dau as above.

Her husband was also a dynast of the Nairn of Rankeillour Baronetcy created 1904 for his great-grandfather, Sir Michael Barker Nairn of Rankeillour, 1st Bt.
