The engagement was announced 20 Aug, 2015, between Thomas Charles Rupert Seely (born 1989), scion of the Barons Mottistone (Baron UK, cr 1933), son of the Hon Patrick Michael Seely (b 1960), of Brook, Isle of Wight, by his wife the former Susannah Shelley Johnson, & Anna E. Tweed, only daughter of Dr James and Professor Cherry Tweed, of Abingdon, co Oxford.

Thomas Seely is a grandson of the 4th Baron Mottistone.
