From the Times of 27 May 2020: LADY ARMSTRONG Lady Gwen Armstrong (née Bennett) passed away on 22nd May 2020, aged 101 She died peacefully at home trusting in the promise of God. Bilingual she worked in the BBC French Service during the war, later becoming Chair of Governors of a group of London hospitals. She loved dancing, acting, her dogs and her church, but above all she loved and was loved by her extended family, including her late husband, William, Lord Armstrong of Sanderstead; her sister Myrtle; her children Peter and Jan; grandchildren Andrew, Franny, Boo, David and Nicky, and great­grandchildren Kyra, Zoe, Nicholas, Abigail, Jess, Jago, Eva, Zac, Noah and Charlie....

She was d of John BENNETT a company director, of Putney. She m 1942 the LP Baron ARMSTRONG OF SANDERSTEAD GCB MVO PC (1915-80) and had a son and a dau as above.
