From the Telegraph of 27 March 2021: Nicholas John Cunliffe-Lister, Earl of Swinton. On 21st March 2021 aged 81 years. Peacefully at home. Darling husband of Pamela and a dearly loved father, step-father and grandpa. Private family funeral and interment will take place at St Mary's Church, Masham.
He was s of Maj Hon John Yarburgh CUNLIFFE-LISTER 1913-ka1943 (s of 1st Earl of SWINTON 1884-1972) and Anne Irvine 1914-61 d of Canon Robert Sumner MEDLICOTT 1869-1941 scion of the Irish gentry family of that name and Ellen Douglas IRVINE 1877-1952. He m 1st 1966 (div 1996) Hon Elizabeth Susan WHITELAW b 1944 d of 1st & last Viscount WHITELAW 1918-99 (Scots gentry family of Gartshore) and Cecilia Doriel SPROT 1917-2011 scion of the Scots gentry family Sprot of Riddell, and had two sons and a dau. He m 2nd 1996 Pamela June (prev Mrs Jeremy Sykes) d of Thomas WOOD and Doreen _. His son succeeds him.
MARK WILLIAM PHILIP Cunliffe-Lister b 15 Sept 1970 [4th] Earl of SWINTON, has yet to establish his claim and appear on The Peerage Roll, m 2000 Felicity Clare b c1970 d of Kenneth SHADBOLT of East Prawle, Devon and had two sons and a dau:
