Will there be any appointments on St Georges Day this year?

There are four vacancies and no appointments since 2024 so I think a good chance there will be appointments.

Who will be honoured?

The Duke of Norfolk for his role in organising the coronation?
Sir David Attenborough as a 100 birthday present?

Sir David Attenborough, already has OM (2005),CH (1996) and CVO (1991),but the ultimate upgrade on his Kt.Bach. (1985) would be generally very popular.

Doubt either of these will get the Garter

Norfolk is unlikely, a KG for a coronation is too much and he already has GCVO. Attenborough is OM, CH, CVO and CBE also GCMG and knighted previously.

I would sooner see Sir David Attenborough made a hereditary peer Viscount Attenborough.

As for new members
The Earl of Caledon
Lord Cameron of Chipping Norton
Lord Carrington
Lord Houghton of Richmond
Baroness May of Maidenhead
The Earl Peel
The Earl of Rosslyn
Lord Walker of Aldringham
The Duke of Wellington
The Baroness Hayman
Lord Coe
The Duke of Norfolk

The Duke of Devonshire seems like the strongest candidate among the Dukes. I believe every prior Duch of Devonshire has received the Garter.  He also has the KCVO and the CBE already so there are other accomplishments there.

LC3,
I would make the following comments on your list:-
Caledon -eligible but there are already 2 ulstermen in the order, the Duke of Abercrombie and Viscount Brookeborough
Cameron-too young
Carrington-GCVO is the normal honour for an LGC
Houghton-Already 2 CDS in the order. There have been no recent conflicts
May-eligible
Peel-eligible
Rosslyn-too young and insufficient time as Lord Steward
Walker-as for Houghton
Wellington-eligible
Hayman-eligible but does being First Lady Speaker merit it?Past Lord Speakers ie Lord Chancellors have received the order rarely

Come-too young
Norfolk-too young

By use of the word eligible I mean over 70 and serving in a position which has previously been honoured in that way. It’s unusual now to honour someone less than 70 because of their life expectancy which would limit the number of members if they are in the order too long.
Thomas I agree that Devonshire might be a pick as HM’s Ascot representative.I would also add Lansdowne whose wife is a Lady Companion to Queen Camilla
Richmond would also be suitable
Attenborough-too old and already has OM

We will wait and see.

For Abercrombie read Abercorn which shows the ignorance of predictive text.

The new knights are historian and academic, Peter Hennessy, now known as The Lord Hennessy of Nympsfield. He is joined by Ian Burnett, now Baron Burnett of Maldon who was Lord Chief Justice of England between 2017 and 2023. The third new knight is The Lord O’Donnell.

In my view, underwhelming choices.
Burnett and O’Donnell have been rewarded for doing thei day jobs(Cabinet Secretary & Lord Chief Justice respectively).
Hennessy is an established author on poltical and constitutional matters, which might justify an OM rather than the Garter.
Incidentally Hennessy wrote a book entitled Estabilshment & Meritocracy.
I wonder how that fits in with his elevation?
Sven-my reference to potential knight being too old is that their impairment would prevent them in most cases of participating in Garte events.
