The recent birth of the Master of Garnock, maternal grandson of the present Duke of Rutland and paternal grandson of the Earl of Lindsay, has prompted me to ask the following question:

Since 1900, what son or daughter of one sitting Duke has married the son or daughter of another sitting Duke?

Thanks.

One example came to mind quickly, but it doesn't quite work as one father had predeceased the marriage.

Prince Arthur of Connaught, son of the Prince Arthur, 1st Duke of Connaught & Strathearn married 1913 Princess Alexandra, 2nd Duchess of Fife (succeeded  according to special remainder), daughter of the 1st Duke of Fife (died 1912).

Brooke...I haven't time to do it myself right now, but there are really such a relatively small number of dukes that it should be quite easy for you to check them all in an hour or so.

Brooke, do you mean both the sitting Duke and his wife's father had to be sitting dukes at the time of the marriage?

Hi S.S.

Sorry for the confusion.

I meant where both the bride and groom were  the children of sitting Dukes.

Thanks.

Brooke
