From the Times of 11 May 2018: MEYNELL Ilse Teresa (Puschka) died peacefully at home on 6th May, aged 89. Much-loved wife of Richard and father of Anthony, Charles and Tricia. Cremation at Earlham Road Crematorium, Norwich, NR2 3RG, at 2.45pm, on Friday 25th May, followed by a service at 4pm, at All Saints Church, East Tuddenham and afterwards at Berry Hall. No flowers. Donations on the day to "Canine Partners".

She was d of Gen (Karl Anton) Theodore GRAF von SPONECK (1896-1982) of Bavaria and Agnes Hildegard Alice Freiin von SUSKIND-SCHWENDI (1908-80). She m 1950 Richard Walter (1923-2010) s of Capt Charles Wilfrid Lindley MEYNELL RN (1890-1976), scion of the HALIFAX earls etc, and Ida Beatrice PRETYMAN (1896-1977), scion of the gentry family of that name of Orwell Park and of the BRADFORD earls, and had two sons and a dau as above.

She was related to Hieronymus von Münchhausen, whose life was an inspiraton for the 1785 book Baron Munchausen's Narrative of his Marvellous Travels and Campaigns in Russia:
