From the Times of 17 Aug 2024: PARKES David Brian, died peacefully on 10th August 2024 at home in Lorgues, France, aged 89. He is survived by his beloved wife Marie-France; his children, Patrick and Henrietta, by his late wife Roberta, and Harry and Sam, and their mother Antoinette. He will be cremated in Vidauban, France, at 10am on Tuesday 20th August, 2024.

He was s of Sy[i]dney Edward PARKES 1882- of Fort Rozel, Jersey by his m to Genevieve Emily TOWN 1896-. He m 1st 1957 (div 1969) Roberta Oonagh Petrie b 1938 d of Maj Robert John Henry CAREW MC 1888-1982 sometime head of that Irish gentry family of Ballinamona Park and Dorothea Petrie 1895-1968 d of Col George Robert TOWNSHEND 1856-1929 scion of that Irish gentry family, and had a dau Henrietta Olivia Petrie b 1968 & an adopted son Patrick Edward Martin b 1965. He m 2nd 1970 Antoinette Mary d of Maj Jack Philip Albert Galvin Clifford WOLFF MBE 1916-2004 and Hon Mary Winsome CLIFFORD 1919-2001 d of 12th Baron CLIFFORD OF CHUDLEIGH 1889-1964 and Amy WEBSTER d 1926, and had a further two children as above.

The late Mr Parkes' first wife, Roberta, née Carew, died on 10 June 1986; his second wife, Antoinette, née Wolff, was born in 1946. The death, last November, of his twin sister, Mrs John Beckwith-Smith,  née Susan Elaine Parkes (1 III 1935 - 22 XI 2023) was reported here: https://groups.google.com/g/peerage-news/c/MJJcJ0DJPcw/m/aoZTMN2JAAAJ.

He married Marie-France Jacquemard on 12 September 2009, according to the Bulletin Municipal Lorgues Info, January 2010.
