Henry Philip Chetwynd-Stapylton died in Chichester on his birthday, 10 January 2019, aged 98 years, husband of the late Elizabeth, father of Edward and Diana, father-in-law to Nicola, grandfather of William and companion to Yvonne. Former County Architect of Surrey.

He descended from a younger son of the 4th Viscount Chetwynd.
