He was s of Peter Bevil Edward ACLAND 1902-93 (gs of Sir Henry Wentworth ACLAND 1st Bt 1815-1900 and gs of The Viscountess HAMBLEDEN c1828-1913) and Bridget Susan 1904-96 d of Rev Herbert Walter BARNETT 1851-1937 (gt gs of Stratford CANNING d 1787 f of 1st & last Viscount STRATFORD DE REDCLIFFE 1786-1880) by his 1888 m reg Q2 London to Mary LETHBRIDGE 1865-1953 (gt gd of Sir Thomas Buckler LETHBRIDGE 2nd Bt 1778-1849). He m 1956 Clare Anne 1928 (reg Q4)-1984 d of Francis Reynolds Paulus VERDON 1879-1960 of Littlefields, Sidbury, Devon by his c1928 m reg Q1 London to Beatrice Baxendale AIREY 1905-77, and had two sons and a dau.
