From the Telegraph & Times of 10 April 2021: BARCLAY Cherry (née
Cairns) died peacefully on 5th April 2021, loving wife to David, mother
to Robin and Katherine, grandmother to Theodore, Alice, William, Davina
and Eliza.
She was d of Hugh William CAIRNS 1911-96 (gs of 1st Earl CAIRNS 1819-1885 and gs of 6th Duke of BUCCLEUCH 1831-1914, making Mrs Barclay a 1st cousin once removed of Princess ALICE Duchess of GLOUCESTER) and Diana Katherine SOAMES 1917-97 scion of that gentry family of Hamsell Manor. She m 1968 David William b 1942 s of Theodore David BARCLAY 1906-81, whom he succ as head of that gentry family of Higham, and had a son and a dau as above.
