Thank you marquess.
From it, I glean that his mother was Nina Clare Philipson, granddaughter maternally of the 1st Viscount Elibank.

Christopher John Hylton Murray Shaw was born in a nursing home in south-west London on New Year’s Day 1938. His names reflect his ancestry: Hylton was the Christian name of his mother’s father, and Murray the surname of the Viscounts Elibank. He was the only son of the Rev Cyril Parkinson Shaw, a Yorkshireman who was vicar of the Church of the Annunciation, Marble Arch, from 1937 to 1939 . Christopher’s mother was Nina Clare Philipson, whose maternal grandfather was the 1st Viscount Elibank, Lord Lieutenant of Peebles.

Nina's father was the well known cricketer (Hylton Philipson) 1866-1935. Her brother may have been Hylton Ralph Murray-Philipson (1902-1934) a Conservative MP. Her cousin was another well-known sportsman Max Woosnam. (Both have Wikipedia entries). Through the Philipson connection, Nina Shaw nee Philipson was also a cousin of Gaynor Woosnam and her husband Lt John Ernest Miller Richard (paternal grandparents of the Duchesss of Northumberland). Christopher Shaw was thus a second cousin once removed of the present Duchess of Northumberland.
